Woo! The last few days have been wild! Mischa and I flew out to Vancouver and have made it to Victoria, BC. It feels so surreal that things are happening. We were picked up at the airport by the Howard’s and their wonderful friends. We were welcomed into their home with lunch and three bike enthusiasts awaiting to help reassemble our bikes. Barb took us on a day tour in the afternoon to White Rock Beach, and we had a lovely dinner, packed up our panniers and left the next morning. Mischa and I cant believe how welcomed we were. Thank you! This morning we hopped on the ferry to Vancouver Island, made the most of the all you can eat buffet on board, and cycled to our friends place on the island just outside of Victoria. We saw a few bald eagles, and a pod of whales on the ferry too! Yes nature! We rode along the Pacific ocean, chatted with other cyclists and were in awe of the beauty around us. I couldn’t help but feel at home as the ocean, charcoal rocks and luscious greens reminded me of New Zealand.
Both of us are super tired, but we have an exciting day exploring the island a bit more tomorrow!
